Christening is another word for Baptism which is a service of blessing and welcome into God's family. A person of any age can be baptised, but for younger children, parents and godparents make special promises to God on their behalf. Baptisms would normally take place during the Morning Worship service on the third Sunday of the month. This is a relaxed and contemporary service which is ideal for families and visitors. Baptisms can also take place in an afternoon service by arrangement with the Rector .
Thanksgiving
For those who would like a special service in church but are not ready to make these promises, we also offer a very similar and beautiful service of Thanksgiving & Blessing of a child.
